Infection Control Measures

New Infection Control Measures

Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.  We want to assure you of the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe, in accordance with recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the CDC and OSHA.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:

PRESCREENING - Our office will communicate with you before your appointment to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.
WAITING AREA CLOSURE - We will be using text messaging to let you know when we are ready for you to come in for your appointment. Please leave your mask on when you enter our office. You may remove it once you arrive in the treatment room.
BEFORE AND AFTER HAND WASHING - We will ask you to wash your hands in the reception restroom upon entering the office and before leaving after your appointment.
PRE-RINSING - We will ask all patients to rinse with an antiseptic rinse just prior to your exam or treatment, to help reduce microbial load.
APPOINTMENT SPACING - Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients, and we will do our best to ensure that there will not be other patients in the waiting room when you arrive or leave.
• In addition to these changes, we have implemented many behind-the-scenes processes. For more information, please ask us!

Our official re-opening date is Tuesday, May 26th. However, we will be available, as we have been throughout this crisis, for emergencies and virtual consultations.  We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you safe in our practice.

Thank you for being our patient.
We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends!
